The Word from Shonen Jump – One Piece Streaming Anime Plans on Hold

Hey all, Ms.Mandi here with a little news on One Piece from Shonen Jump…..

As SHONEN JUMP and anime fans know, FUNimation Entertainment planned, for the first time ever, to offer an online simulcast of the series One Piece starting on May 30 at 9:00 pm CST, under the authorization of Toei Animation, Fuji Television and Shueisha. Unfortunately, the FUNimation servers were compromised by an unknown individual who accessed and posted episode 403 online. As a direct result of this illegal act, it was determined that all streaming episodes of One Piece would be pulled from FUNimation’s site, and plans for the simulcast have been postponed. We’re sure SHONEN JUMP and One Piece fans are saddened by the news that U.S. and Canadian fans won’t have access to this series for the foreseeable future. We’ll have updates as soon as the future of this project is determined by the consortiums mentioned above. Thank you for your continued support of One Piece.
